MBSR Foundations Teacher Training

Embark on a journey to teach MBSR
Fully recognized by the
Mindfulness Center at Brown University (MC@B)
Picture
Janet Curry, LPC and Certified MBSR teacher and teacher trainer in Durango, CO, will be offering the MBSR Foundations Teacher Training program this Fall in conjunction with her 8-week MBSR course.

This training is a special opportunity to deepen your practice, use mindfulness with greater skill and precision in your work, or take the first step along the pathway to teaching MBSR.

All sessions will be held on the Zoom online video conferencing platform, enabling individuals from diverse geographic regions to participate.

This Foundations program combines participating fully in the MBSR program with engaging in the 10- week Foundations seminar, held on the day following the weekly MBSR
class. The program begins with a "Foundations Opening" session one week before the MBSR course begins.

By registering for MBSR Foundations, you will be enrolled in both the MBSR and Foundations programs.

Prerequisites for this program include participating in an 8-week MBSR class prior to beginning Foundations and a qualifying meditation retreat.

MBSR Foundations is the first formal program in the 3-level teacher training pathway at the MC@B. Graduates of this training are eligible to be added to the MC@B website list of teachers-in-training, and will be automatically accepted to any further MBSR Teacher Trainings in their training pathway. This pathway leads to being certified by Brown as a fully trained MBSR Teacher.

"We're being called to reflect, consider, and educate ourselves so that when we take action, on a local or global level, it's in the service of minimizing harm, and maximizing well-being for all human beings across categories of race, gender identification, sexual orientation, and income levels."
