“I was not born to be forced.
I will breathe after my own fashion.
Let us see who is the strongest.”

SafeWithin: A Whole-Systems Approach to
Mindfulness Education
SafeWithin is a framework for trauma-sensitive mindfulness education that prioritizes connection, and a whole-systems approach to cultivating inner and outer awareness and stabilizing attention. This mental fitness training encourages engaged inquiry, sharing our human experience with each other, works within the context of learning goals and the culture that are already in place, and provides support and mentorship that remove the need for classroom teachers to complete extensive mindfulness or graduate trainings before offering the benefits of the practice to their community.
Community Programs:
Workshops, Stress Reduction, Mindfulness-Based Interventions
"Let us gather in circles and breathe together. Let us congregate in classrooms, back yards, parking lots, and in wild natural spaces, and let us arrive together, dropping in to the present moment... Let us wander onto the land and into ourselves, exploring the inner and outer worlds with kindness, care, and an open heart. Teaching our children to love the earth, themselves, and each other is what is needed now." |
